Abstract

The major objective of this study is to provide the information to create an entrepreneurial residence on the Acadia University campus, Wolfville, Nova Scotia. This study uses the direct, practical, and applied methods of design science research in a storytelling format to communicate the findings. Information presented includes an evaluation of the application domain (the entrepreneurial ecosystem at Acadia University) where interviews and focus groups were conducted to obtain information; a review of the existing living learning program and entrepreneurship incubator and accelerator literature; and a content analysis of the existing entrepreneurship and innovation residence websites. In conclusion, this report provides a recommendation of features to include in an entrepreneurial residence, with emphasis on the necessity to continue evaluating and building the product to fit the needs of the student entrepreneurial customer base.
