Abstract
This is an analysis and theological discussion of biblical, theological and historical arguments confirming the thesis that the Baptist Church in Katowice is an ecumenical model in the Polish context, and it is good when various Christian traditions conduct a dialogue to implement Missio Dei - God's mission. Here, the definition of Christian ecumenism is understood as striving for the unity of Christ's disciples belonging to different Christian traditions based on the words of Jesus' prayer (John 17: 20-21). This definition is the one that the author of the thesis used in the ecumenical mission of the Baptist Church in Katowice and the region of Upper Silesia, a predominantly Roman Catholic region. It has proved to be a concise and helpful guide for this congregation in its ecumenical outreach, and serves, it is suggested here, as a model for other Baptist and evangelical Christian traditions to broaden their sense of mission and ministry.
