The unrelenting yearning of the heart, is to unveil the mystery of our 'selves' in relation to Other, (who is mutually about us and within us), leading to a profound sense of relational connectedness. Initiated at birth, and continuing to be unearthed through our relational sagas, our soul intimates a love that is both imaginative and intentional. Divine Love is the penultimate love we seek; glimpses of which are made manifest through our personal and professional encounters. A summons is issued for counsellors to become self-aware of their own story (a search for love), as well as attend to the client's narrative in order that both may experience realizations of unconditional acceptance. Recommendations are made to counsellors to consider disrobing the professional 'cloak' which often serves to hide their true selves, and rather, to risk moving into client's lives through more dynamic and transparent ways of being for the purpose of upholding relationship above controlled and safe--yet stagnate, disconnected methodological practise.
