Engaging youth in taking action for sustainability can have multiple benefits for youth development, communities and the environment. This phenomenological study conceptualizes the change process in facilitating youth to take sustainability actions, and explores peer education as a valuable strategy in facilitating change. It assesses the impacts of being a peer educator on the high school leaders of the MindShift program, the extent to which they took action, and the most influential elements of the peer education approach. Results and interpretations are presented in two formats: a scholarly article to be submitted for publication, and a formal program evaluation for submission to program managers.
