Abstract

Three variables, transformational leadership, incivility, and psychological safety have been associated with outcomes that significantly impact the work place. To collect data, the Centre of Organizational Research Development distributed surveys to health care workers (n=2046). The analysis considered employees' attachment orientation as well as the attachment avoidance of their immediate supervisors and assessed whether attachment orientation is associated with these three variable. Results partially supported hypotheses as staff attachment orientation was associated with all three study variables. Supervisor attachment, however, only significantly predicted some of the study variables. Furthermore, results did not support any interactions between attachment orientation and any of the dependent variables. Results indicate that attachment orientation is associated with all study variables and therefore has implications for organizations.
