Abstract

In the last fty ve years or so, a great deal of research e ort has been made on the construction of simultaneous con dence bands for a linear regression function and a logistic regression. The valuable monograph by Liu (2010) presents a lot of simul- taneous con dence bands for regression problems. This thesis follows Chapter 8 of \Con dence Bands for Logistic Regression" in Liu (2010). We consider applications to miticide e ectiveness studies on the two spotted spider mite. We use simulation method to obtain critical values for the statistical inference. We consider the equiva- lence assessment for several treatment response probabilities and a control response probability which has not appeared in the literature.
